Windows 10 is getting a very useful Windows 11 Feature

There’s no questioning that Windows 11 has a lot of pretty cool new features.

If you haven’t upgraded from Windows 10 to Windows 11 just yet, then you’re missing out. We’ve started to push this out to our IT support clients in the last couple of weeks and continue to do so.

If you’re still not sure if you want to upgrade, Microsoft has made the upgrade a little easier. The features that Windows 11 has also help to protect your business without any extra cost.

The first feature that Microsoft is pushing out should make printing a bit easier. Everyone hates printers, they decide to work when they want or in a busy office, someone else takes your printed documents.

This particular feature is making printing PIN-Protected. That means that if you want to print a document, the printer will request a PIN. The pin is unique to you and is only generated once you click print. You enter your pin into the printer and it’ll start printing your document.

This removes the risk of losing private and confidential files and leaving them in the output tray for other people to see, as well as helping to stop printing several copies of the same document.

That’s the printer feature out of the way, the second useful feature (and one we love) that’s coming to Windows 10 is called “Focus Assist” and, it works alongside your do not disturb feature.

Switching on do not disturb is brilliant when you don’t want to be interrupted while working or finishing off a task. The only problem is, if you use it a lot, you might miss important notifications that you really needed to see.

Focus Assist helps to stop this from happening. You enable and use it alongside do not disturb and it’ll still allow important and time-sensitive notifications and messages to reach you. These features have been in a testing phase with Microsoft since June this year. There still isn’t a date when they will be released to Windows 10 but, they are on their way.

If you can’t wait for some more of this fantastic time-saving and productivity-boosting feature, then why not upgrade to Windows 11?
